We moved

During the great OpenClaw renaming drama — the one you probably read about, or politely pretended to — we decided not to fight the current. Clawdbot Cloud was a name we loved. It was also a name tangled up in a much bigger conversation that wasn't ours to have. So we packed up the servers, kept everything that mattered, and walked out with a new sign over the door.

If you used clawdbot.cloud, you're looking for moltpod.com. Your account, your data, your pods, your invoices — all of it came with us. Old links redirect. Old emails forward. Nothing was lost in the move except a few logos and a lot of arguing on Hacker News.

A name is a kind of promise. Clawdbot Cloud was a promise about claws — sharp, fast, a little bit feral. We meant it. We still kind of mean it. But somewhere in the middle of building agents that actually work, we noticed the metaphor was pulling us toward a story we didn't want to tell. Software shouldn't grip. Software should shed.

A crab molts because the shell it grew in stops fitting the animal it became. The molt isn't a defeat. It isn't a rebrand. It's the only honest move when the inside has outgrown the outside.

MoltPod is what we meant the whole time. A pod is a small, defensible space where one thing happens well. A molt is what you do when the world changes faster than your scaffolding. Put them together and you get our actual thesis: give every team a little fortress they can grow inside of, then make growing painless.
